Returns Policy

Before making a purchase on our website, we strongly advise you to review our Returns Policy in its entirety.

We are pleased to assist you with returns for items purchased online if you find them unsuitable, provided that you notify us within 14 days from the day following the delivery of the item(s).

It is essential that you inform us of your decision to cancel and return your order within 14 days from the day after the item(s) are delivered.

While you have the item(s) in your possession, it is your responsibility to handle them reasonably and appropriately. They must remain in an "as new" condition and be returned in their original, undamaged packaging.

Refunds will be processed and returned to the same payment method used for the original order, once the goods have been returned to us.

Please take note that we will refund the delivery cost only in cases where the return results from our error (e.g., a faulty product or an incorrect shipment). If you wish to return an order due to a change of mind, you will be responsible for all delivery costs when returning goods to a store or a warehouse. Furthermore, a fee may be applied if the item(s) have depreciated in value due to excessive handling beyond what is necessary to inspect their features and characteristics.

Online Returns Exclusions

Please be aware that the following items, once removed from their packaging in the interest of hygiene, cannot be refunded or exchanged under this policy: mattresses, pillows, bedlinen, mattress toppers, duvets, headphones, headsets, haircare, menscare, electric blankets, medical devices, and personal care items. Additionally, kitchen appliances where installation has already commenced and Gift Cards fall under this exclusion.

For specially tinted Paint, we recommend ordering a sample of your chosen color before making a larger purchase, as this paint color is uniquely mixed and cannot be returned.

Moreover, technology products, Apple items, software DVDs, and CDs with tamper-proof seals cannot be returned once the seal is broken. Please note that technology products are covered for faults by our guarantee, with exceptions for faults due to accidents, physical damage, neglect, misuse, wear and tear, or failure to follow the instructions.

We recommend inspecting any goods that we deliver to you or that you collect from one of our stores immediately to ensure your complete satisfaction.

Should you have any questions about this policy, feel free to contact us at sales@morrisdiy.com. This returns policy exclusively applies to online purchases made through our website.

For the most convenient return of an item or resolution of a product issue from a recent order, we recommend visiting one of our stores, where a staff member will be delighted to assist you. Please have your invoice as proof of purchase on hand.

For postal returns, please send the items to the following address:

Morris Builders Providers and DIY The Manor, Cork Rd, Waterford, X91 E097

For any queries regarding the return of your order, please contact sales@morrisdiy.com You can also reach out to us by phone at 051845200.

Return of Faulty Goods

Before returning goods by post or courier, we kindly request that you contact sales@morrisdiy.com. Our team will guide you through the straightforward returns procedure, which may include a goods inspection, arranging for the goods to be sent for repair, or providing a replacement.

Refunds

Refunds will be issued via the same payment method used for your online purchase. Typically, refunds will be processed within seven (7) days after receiving the returned goods or cancellation of the order, as outlined herein.

Repair of Faulty Goods

In the event of a warranty claim, the product must be returned to our store at your expense and will be assessed for warranty before being returned to you. Goods submitted for repair will be evaluated and/or repaired within a reasonable timeframe, which may vary due to factors beyond our control and the repairer's control, such as part availability or incorrect fault description. If a warranty claim is rejected, you will be responsible for labor, assessment, and/or freight fees if the goods are determined to have been damaged by misuse or accidental damage.

Please note that if goods returned for repair can retain user-generated data (e.g., files on a hard drive, phone numbers on a mobile device, songs on a media player), the replacement or repair of the goods may result in data loss. In such cases, we recommend backing up your data to prevent any loss and removing sensitive or confidential data, as those assessing and/or repairing your goods may need to access the data during the assessment. We cannot be held responsible for any data loss.

In some instances, goods presented for repair may be replaced with refurbished goods of the same type rather than being repaired. Refurbished parts may be used for repairs.

Your Consumer Rights

Consumer contracts are safeguarded by the Sale of Goods and Supply of Services Act 1980 (as amended) and other relevant legislation.

Under this act, purchasers of goods have certain rights, including that:

  • Goods must be of merchantable quality.
  • Goods must be fit for their intended purpose.
  • Goods must be as described.

These rights cannot be excluded and are in addition to any extended warranty or manufacturer's warranty.

It's important to note that there may be specific circumstances where you are not entitled to a remedy. For further information about your consumer rights, visit the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission at www.ccpc.ie
