A: Extraction hoods are the most effective because they suck all the steam and fats from the hob to the outside.
Q: How long does a cooker hood last?
A: With regular cleaning and replacing the filter, the average cooker hood should last between 6 and 10 years.
Q: How do you clean extraction hood filters?
A: Soak the filter in hot water with washing up liquid and baking soda for 10-15 minutes. Gently scrub with a brush until all the grime is gone. Rinse thoroughly and let dry.
Q: What is a good extraction hood?
A: It is recommended that your cooker hood should change the air approximately 10 times an hour.
Q: How do I work out what extraction rate I need?
A: Measure your kitchens width, depth and height. Multiply their measurements to get your volume. Multiply your volume by 10 to give you your extraction rate.
