Q: Are all single ovens the same size?
A: Built in single ovens tend to have the same width and depth. Manufactures do this so they can fit into a standard oven housing unit.
Q: How do self-cleaning ovens work?
A: Self-cleaning ovens are broken down into 3 types. Catalytic liners are liners that have been treated with chemicals. Every 2-3 months turn the oven and grill temperature high for 45 – 60 minutes. This will burn off any grease and grime. Pyrolytic ovens are seen as the most effective form of self-cleaning ovens. The oven will reach temperatures of 400 degrees reducing any grease and grime to ash for you to wipe away. It is important to remember to remove all trays and rails before you start. Steam clean your oven by putting water inside and producing steam which will help release residue in the oven.
Q: What is a multi-function oven?
A: A multi-function oven gives you multiple heating elements and a choice of heating methods.
Q: Can I install a single oven myself?
A: While only a qualified electrician is permitted to install a new circuit for an electric cooker, any DIY enthusiast can wire your oven into an existing circuit.
Q: How many litres are in a standard oven?
A: The average single oven is between 65 and 70 litres.
