What do I need to know about doors??

What do I need to know about floors??

Did you know...

 Laminate flooring is a multi-layer synthetic flooring product fused together with a lamination process. Laminate flooring simulates wood with a photographic

applique layer under a clear protective layer. The inner core layer is usually composed of melamine resin and fibre board materials. All laminate floor covering have requirements and testing methods which determines the AC rating.

Semi-Solid/Engineered Flooring is a man-made structured ply with a real wood veneer

on top. It gives the appearance of a solid wood floor but without the same movement of

a solid floor boards. This allows for the floor to be glued or floated on an underlay and

means that it is also suitable for underfloor heating.

AC RATINGS is a measure of a floor’s resistance to abrasion, impact and stains.

The ratings also indicate that the product has been tested for the effects of

furniture legs, castors and swelling along the edges.

Ratings go from AC3 Heavy Domestic to AC6 Extreme commercial.

Flooring Thickness range in type depending on the floor required.

Laminates start at 7mm and can range up to 14mm and as for semi-solid these

can start at 14mm and upwards with the top layer varying on each style.

Flooring Rooms with particular floors does not make a huge difference however

many styles of flooring are popular for different reasons, but it's not always the

best option. When it comes to flooring you have lots of options regarding size,

colour and characteristics.
